Evening all the Dusty taxi is finally parked up for the night so just have a crafty glass of wine before I start the ironing, DW and WM already on.

Soappie - this is how the appointment went:

Consultant: Hello, how old are you?
    DS3: Fine thanks
    Consultant: five?
Me to DS3: the doctor asked how old you are
    DS3: oh 7
Consultant to me: I guess this is why you are here.

You have to laugh. His hearing is not awful but not good either. We have only noticed it since about christmas when the other 2 kept telling him to turn the tv or tape player down and his complaining he could not hear. I also found he was asking me to repeat myself a lot (I have always insisted on eye to eye contact when speaking to children so that I know they are listening) and his teacher mentioned it too. It makes sense now why he has been moved down in ability tables this year, I think he simply was not understanding the instructions and thus not being able to do the work. We have to go back in a couple of months for another hearing test to compare them.

Hi All, Think that recent events are taking their toll on me and the gym is having the desired effect.....Im exhausted. I slept from 9.30pm - 7am last night and was so tired this morning when i got up. This is also the first day I havent cried. I think this pretending-to-be-happy-malarky really works!

I have struggled through the day energywise though and am shattered again. I have an induction at the gym tomorrow morning and then am meeting some of the girls from work for lunch. Im going back to the gym to do a class at night time - and am looking forward to that. So im having an early night tonight.

RP - I would come and do your shopping for you lovely.....if it wasnt so far away. Why dont you do it online and save yourself the hassle? xx

About little one and being ADD - feel free to comment, I wouldnt think you were butting in and welcome everyone elses comments/ideas.

He is not unusually HYPER so-to-speak, I dont know - i just dont know. There are kids in his class who do have ADD etc but his teacher didnt compare him to them and is sure he is just messing about. There are classroom assistants but he monopolising all their time. She sat beside him today, and asked him about the work that he should have been doing and he recited it to her - so he knew it. She had to sit beside him saying 'next word', 'next word' and he did it...................you could be right, but i dont know enough about it to say either way.

Congratulations to Mo5 and her DD and to GnB's mum.

Healing vibes for Mudbath's dad and Toots WHO SHOULD BE TAKING THINGS EASY BUT CLEARLY ISN'T!!!

    (((hugs))) for pollybear and rosepink

Get well vibes for the numerous poorlies...

Long day at work again. Nice lunch out with my old manager and team. It was lovely to get away from the office for a bit!

Given how much I've been out this week, I really didn't need to go food shopping at the weekend, so could have saved myself the trauma!

I'm going to have a lot of flying to do at the weekend... but I do have next week off with nothing planned, so I should be able to get things under control, spend lots of time in the gym/pool, and get my CV etc sorted!

Toots, you are right, I’m going to do an online shopping thing. Never done it before. DH managed to pick up the urgent things, milk, bread, ketchup etc.

    Congratulations to GnB’s mum

    yep!
And NOT being a fan of hairy men was delighted to see that the delicious Mr G. is not hirsute ***sigh***

That is so true! I was pleased too. It was a nice moment. It's funny cos he's not really my type in looks or personality, but there is something about him that's quite nice.

Anyway, moving on. My plans for tomorrow

Go for a walk before I do anything else - need sunlight and fresh air and the endorphins you get from exercise

    Hoover kitchen
    Clean sink and bath
    Online shopping order

Plus anything else of the lists if I'm up to it. Would like to declutter LR floor and hoover that too, but not going to worry if I don't manage that.
