Try popping it in the oven when it's cooled down enough to be WARM, not hot... that will help dry it out.

Or on a warm radiator... airing cupboard...

Just be aware that all ipods have a gizmo inside that shows if it's got wet, so no chance of returning to Apple claiming it just stopped worksing.

    Since when?

    For a while now.

iPhones have a moisture indicator that turns red (I think) if any moisture gets in.

It has been know for people to take their iPhones back to Apple for repair and told that the warranty is void due to moisture ingress when all they had done was use their iPhone in light rain....

    Beware!

On the iPhone and iPod Touch, it's in the headphone jack:

(scroll to the bottom of the page)

I don't see how it could get wet in light rain unless you were using it upside down.

Many mobile phones have a similar indicator under the battery.

NO NO NO - DO NOT FOLLOW THIS ADVICE!!!!!!

Your Ipod will probably have a LiPo battery in it, if it heats up over a certain temperature it can catch fire or even explode! This might not happen until after you have removed the ipod from the heat source.

If you have an airing cupboard suggest you put it in there instead.
