What are some of you investing in to get near 100% returns in the last few months?

In would suspect that most will have made these gains on banks and smaller oil stocks as most small oil stocks (in fact most small mining companies) lost over 80% of their values last year largely due to so many hedge funds becoming forced sellers and forcing the supply up and in tunr forcing the price down. Most are recovering but for example one oil stock i am in is still considerably lower than its NAV yet has generated me over 100% profit.

Others probably include stocks like the housebuilders and JJB which had bankruptcy priced into the share price.

....although base metals/minerals have been better (CZA, KMR, TMC, WTN, ORE (now POG)).
Interesting that both my coal investments have continued to have good days. CZA up another (almost) 17% and WTN up over 28%. In fact I expect (hope) WTN to gap up another 15% to 75p in the morning as it closed at C$1.42 on the TSX (75p equivillent).

Not sure if there appears to be a common positive outlook on coal or if the rises are company specific. Time will tell.

Coal stocks in general have had a nice run off the March lows. handily outperforming both S&P and Nasdaq.
