Orange Port Out Termination charge
Options
Hi one & all, I'm hoping I can get a bit of advice please regarding Orange. (Hope this makes sense) Since last November I was on an Orange Sim only (Dolphin 15) service plan, when I took up this I was told I could cancel at anytime. So near the end of March I phoned Orange to cancel this and asked for a PAC code and I was told this would be sent out to me, which it was. On the 6th April I used my code to port my number to a new contract I had taken out with Three. To my horror on my final bill from Orange, I've noticed they have charged me a Port out termination fee of £8.51, surely this isn't right? Funny thing is my mom has done the same thing as me, at near enough the same time, and hasn't been charged this! Has anyone heard of this charge? I know I was never informed about about any charges. Thanks in advance for any advice.

Can anyone help me with regards to the orange port out fee. My contract ran out. I gave a months notice after that and I am still being charged a port-out fee of £18. Is this valid?0

if its not in your T&C then its not lawful, a fee to PAC out of a completed minimum term contract ?
You are charged for completing your contracted term then your right to leave *may* be impacted by your inability to pay - the model will become like a handset unlock, pay fee then get codeSO... now England its the Scots turn to say dont leave the UK, stay in Europe with us in the UK, dont let the tories fool you like they did us with empty lies... You will be leaving the UK aswell as Europe0 -
I think on Orange it does mention about admin fee.. Not sure through0

Does it iceburn ? hhhmmmm interesting, I gave 30 days notice & then a couple of days later I PAC'd out number got no FEE for the PAC & the remainder of the 30 days re-credited to the account yesterday on the bill ?
Strange...inconsistent.....thats Orange ! LOLSO... now England its the Scots turn to say dont leave the UK, stay in Europe with us in the UK, dont let the tories fool you like they did us with empty lies... You will be leaving the UK aswell as Europe0 -
I would say Orange exercise the right if they feel it might keep you or as a way to get last knife in.. and right about inconsistent. Must be Orange trying to increase its numbers now, hence why now charging PAC, doing those low line rental and it seem with low credit score required etc.. So as when one network is closing its door other open it doors to customers :-D0
