Can someone confirm (and I think I wont like the answer) that t-mobile charge for voicemails?

I had just selected a phone to go for on t-mobile but this looks to have put dampner on it.

Combi 30 is the plan I was looking at through dialaphone - but its got 12p for voicemail on it.:mad::mad::mad:

Sent email to dialaphone to check if the 12p a minute for voicemail is outside of the inclusive minutes - i.e. only applies once inclusive minutes have dried up.

Would be interested to know if anyone has definitive knowledge on this matter as I was hoping to go for a T-mobile phone.

phone your own number for voicemail, comes out of your minutes.

Greyster is correct, but to clarify:

Some of the older Flext plans and the new ones, voicemail comes out of allowance. Some of the last lot of flext plans (last 18months, probally a little longer), charge for voicemail.

The one I have been looking at isnt Flext but Combi.

According to the T-mobile site - the charge applies once the inclusive allowance is used up.
Once your inclusive minutes and texts are used up the following costs will apply (anytime to any UK network).
Type of call/message Cost of call/message Calls 30p / minute
    Texts 12p / message
    Pictures 20p / message
    Voicemail 12p / minute

But what isnt clear to me is if that actually is the case with deal I have seen as its on a different number minutes and texts etc.

All I have seen so far on the web and replies to this thread seem to indicate T-mobile do charge and where they dont, you have to use this workaround with phoning your own number with some pin - sounds like a lot of hassle and for that reason I wont get the phone.

I am on combi 30 12 months and I get charged for voicemail access, except that it is now disabled coz I never use voicemail anyway.

samba, doesnt calling your own number to retrieve voicemail work ?

Voicemail charges are putting me off ordering this t-mobile.

After reading a tip on here a few months ago I have started ringing my own number to retrieve voicemail, works everytime and comes out of my minutes rather than being charged
