I have been having problems with my Sony Ericsson W890I I get emergency calls only, poor signal and difficulty making and receiving calls. I put my sim into a Nokia and no problem.I contacted Tmobile got me to send the phone away for repair, got it back,no difference same problems.Contacted them today told me to return the phone:mad: to the same place for repair.
I have made a complaint and have asked for a new phone, not hopeful.

Is your phone on 3G I wonder?
Try this is you're unsure:
Menu
Settings
Connectivity (5th tab)
Mobile Networks
GSM/3G networks
Select GSM only - that might make a bit of a difference for you.~*Cerenia*~

T-mobiles policy states they will send it away for repair up to 3 times, If after that it still developes the same fault, Then a manager *might* decide to do a exchange, But it will be for the same handset.0

Hello, thought i might be able to help, i work for t-mobile, and as sporedude stated if your mobile phone is sent away 3 times and the problem still perists then they will put your phone on a BER list which is a beyond economical repair list, once this is done you can have a new phone but you will have to go back into a contract. For example if you are 14mnths into a 18mnth contract from the time you get your new phone you will not be able to have another upgrade for another 22mnths.0

Interesting, not been informed of that one in store, repair center and CS used to tell me there's no limit to the amount of times it can be sent back, usually after 3, its exchanged, but not always.~*Cerenia*~

I would love to see this policy get taken to court, can't see how T-Mobile can get out of the SOGA, even if the phone was provided free with a contract they still have the responsibilty that it is fit for purpose and durable, they can't force you into another contract if the product they supply is failing on that criteria!!!!0 -

Update
Got an email from tmoble stating I will not get a new phone at this time and to send the phone away for repair.
I do not have a TMobile shop near me so I will be left without a phone again:mad:0 -
