Buyer wants delivery to a different address

Hi
I've recently sold a phone on Ebay for £275 and have been paid through paypal. The buyer is registered in the UK but is currently living in Hungary. He wants it delivering to the Hungary address. My question is this- As he's already paid and the address paypal showed is in the UK what is the best way of going about this?

deliver it to the UK address but make it special delivery, you wont be held responsible for any chargebacks then.

What about if he adds the hungarian one as gift address to his ebay/paypal account would I be covered against chargebacks then?
If so how would I get verification that the address has been added?

The only problem then is Royal Mail will not insure mobile phones going abroad.

its sounds like an ebay scam if im honest ,send it to uk address .

Thanks for the advice guys. Much appreciated. One more question if I may. Do Royal Mail not do insurance for sending abroad at all or is it just for mobiles?

Its just mobiles AFAIK. The reason I know is I posted a package to Malta yesterday and they asked if it was a mobile phone when I asked for insurance.

Sounds scammy.

If the paypal payment page when you log in says 'OK to send' to the UK address then this could be a hijacked account and buyer is trying to divert the phone. Personally I would email the buyer through ebay and say that under paypal rules you can only send to the address that paypal confirm is OK to ship to and that is the UK address, this is obviously because of 419 scams. Therefore please confirm that someone will be in next week to take signed delivery of the phone at that UKk address.

Leave it like that, waste a bit of time as if this is hijacked you need to be sure the true owner of the account notices. I also put in the bit about 419 scams so that if the buyer is a scammer he now knows that you know what might be happening, without you actually having to accuse anyone of anything.

Sorry guys it was me who got confused.
He doesn't want delivering to a different address- he was only clarifying that this is the address he wanted it posting to.
His Hungarian address is on the OK to send address I got from paypal. I was confused by his registered location on ebay which stated the United Kingdom.

In this regard if I send the phone to his Hungarian address am I covered by paypal as long as I have proof of posting?

No you are not covered, you need proof of delivery which might be difficult for Hungary. You also still have the insurance issue if it does go astray of course. This is why most of us do not offer phones for overseas shipping.

Incidentally, what p and p has he paid, did you have an overseas amount listed?
