HELP
I've unlocked my Nokia 6600 ok and I've put in an O2 sim to try and it works but I keep getting an "Select access point" on my screen which give an Orange,OrangeGPRS selection plus a couple of other and when I select it tells me the balance on the O2 PAYGO sim. WHich is the right amount but how do \i get rid of the "select access" screen?
I've unlocked the 3310 which the O2 sim came out of originally and I'm not having any menus on that mobile.
All help appreciated

I have a Nokia 6230i on T Mobile and would like to use it on O2 .
The IMEI is 358381006317293.
If possible can you give me a step by step guide to doing it in idiot proof English as I'm definitely a technophobe !!!
Thanks very much.

Select Access Point?
If this message keeps popping up for no reason, it sounds like your 6600 is trying to connect to the 'Net using GPRS and doesn't know which access point to use. Reasons for this are likely to be:
You've installed a piece of software that needs to connect to the 'Net (such as Activemail)
You have an email or MMS in your Outbox that's trying to send
You have GPRS set to "When available" (See Tools > Settings > Connection > GPRS)
May also be worth looking at the settings of your access points (Tools > Settings > Connection > Access Points).
if no good you can try formatting the phone like this:
1. Make sure you have at least 3/4 charge of battery power left.
2. Backup your contacts list and personal files to MMC memory card.
3. Switch-off your 6600 phone.
4. Press and hold 3 keys; Green dial key, * Star key, no. 3 key on keypad and then press the power on/off to swtich on the 6600 phone.
Remember, do not let go the 3 press and hold keys until you see a formatting word screen show!
5. After a few minutes when the Full phone formatting completed, your 6600 will back to original system and factory settting0 -

Thanks so much for that info.

It said on the screen "Enter resriction code", so I entered the numbers generated on the Trycktill site which coincided with the codes from the Nokiafree unlock site.
I tried the one ending in 5 and the one ending in 7 but when I pressed OK or done, it just said "Code error", so I'm scared of trying any more in case it blows up !
Please help , desperate !0
