but they didn't work. Phone is a Nokia 2600 on Virgin PAYG UK, the ime is:
358398001171921

Should I have the SIM removed or should I have the other network SIM installed when I enter the codes?

Looks like the current Virgin offer on cheap Nokias is keeping the resident experts in full-time employment !
