codes were correct
have you had phone since new maybe someone has already tried code before
have you checked with a different sim that it isnt already unlocked? what happens with another sim
can still be done by cable if your stuck

Its my old company phone - so as far as I am aware no-one has tried - I know it's not unlocked as I have an orange sim for france and this wont work in it...

I will go to a dealer and see what they can do -- once again many thanks for your patience.
