i think you sign out from store (at the top near file, edit etc) > sign out.

i'm not using windows at the moment, so cant really check but i think thats how you do it

right so once you buy a song how does it go on ipod as cannot find it

You don't actually have to use iTunes to connect to your ipod. There are alternatives out there. I don't have an ipod so don't know too much about it.

It should automatically download into the library of music on the pc and then when you sync the ipod it will appear there.

When you buy a song it should appear under 'purchased' in the navigation on the left.
When you sync your iPod, it should be copied over.

By the way, if you are prone to PC problems, make sure that you never ever unplug the ipod from the computer while it is syncing - it took me days to resolve that problem!
