  • hold on I have another question.

anyone have any ideas on good areas to buy and renovate?

I mean, in the sense that there are parts of town in which you can find a number of good value properties with respect to distance to the centre, surroundings etc but that require renovation?

    Thanks

look on the internet and get some estate agents involved if nothing else you can have a look at some of the areas we all suggested. might take more than one visit.

I too can recommend East Kilbride - I have lived here all my life and wouldn't live any where else (well unless I won the lottery). The transport link to Glasgow are great and only 30 min onthe twice hourly train service. GK was right about the areas. A lot of the houses are ex local authority but great value, I stay in the Village which is handy for everything - but there are a lot of nice areas.

    Good Luck

as in most cities the West End is more affluent than the East End,Crowe

Road in the West End is nice.
