Get yourself a plec. (eats green algae) or a flying fox (eats black algae) if as I'm presuming you keep tropical fish and not cold water fish.:beer:

Plecs are not necessarily the best option.
The best algae eaters grow too big for the average tank. Even if you had a huge tank suitable for them you will find that they neglect the algae in favour of the fish food you put in for the other fish.
There are many types of algae & lack of CO2 is the usual cause.
Try reading up on a specialist fish keeping forum first.
I reccomend Practical Fish Keeping or The tropical Tank as a start.
