SARS didn't do the markets a lot of good - what about Swine Flu Epidemic

I'm a bit chesty this morning, should I be worried?

Its strange how often these pandemic stories get rolled out every 5 years or so. We had SARS last time and Ebola the time before that, yet here we still are.
I think the reports say that 83 people have dies in Mexico and suddenyl it's on every front page and we're to fear for our lives, yet thousands of people die every day on the roads, yet no one mentions banning cars."I can hear you whisperin', children, so I know you're down there. I can feel myself gettin' awful mad. I'm out of patience, children. I'm coming to find you now." - Harry Powell, Night of the Hunter, 1955.0 -

Amcluesent, if I forced you, could you pick a favourite out of:
- mass flu pandemic
- global war on a huge scale
- mass economic meltdown and ensuing chaos
That's unfair! Why can't we have all those doom and gloom stories, plus- Labour is going to be reelected next year and
- worldwide termite epidemic projected to wipe out millions of homes and
- Power supplies to fail in 2015.
Anyone wanting revenge could do worse than to visit here
That's really unfair. Just as I'm going along being all money saving, you go and give me a link like that.... mmm, delicious sausages... sumptious roast pork... bacon ....“The ideas of debtor and creditor as to what constitutes a good time never coincide.”

It's in the news because it's serious - especially to anyone who's had their snout in a trough (look out Westminster village)0 -

Practice being a deadly pandemic bug here
I say shut down all the ports & airports; round up anyone swarthy or with a beard & export them to the Isle of Wight or France; then shoot or, skipping a stage, just burn anyone who sneezes (unless they are watching naughty films at the time).
That'll sort it out in no time."Mrs. Pench, you've won the car contest, would you like a triumph spitfire or 3000 in cash?" He smiled.
Mrs. Pench took the money. "What will you do with it all? Not that it's any of my business," he giggled.
"I think I'll become an alcoholic," said Betty.0 -

It's a fun game!
I'm not sure what people have done to deserve the Isle of Wight. Or French people.0
