Has anyone tried connecting their SkyPlus USB output to their PC's ?
Just wondered if the PC "saw" the Sky Box and whether the thing was able to download any programs ?

You can take the disk out of a Sky+ box and hook it up to your PC either with an external hard drive caddy or putting it in the machine itself.
You can then use a tool called +Extract to archive off any Free To Air programs to your PC.
A bit more hassle, but still achievable.0 -

But be aware that Sky do not record programmes to disk as "video" (like an old video recorder used to) but as a "raw" data stream which is decoded when you play it back in the Sky+ box. + Extract can only rip the free to air stuff (i.e. not NDS encrypted).
BTW, some models of Sky+ box have the power part of the USB port enabled, so you can charge your phone etc. from it - but that's all.0
