Is a 2000 Rover 25 1.4ie worth £1,795?

Personally I don't think I would touch the car, unless the price was exceptional. Head gasket problems being the main reason.0

I think it is way over priced. I mean 2000, thats like 9 years old now. You can get better and newer cars than that, for that price.0

Given my own experience of a Rover with that engine I'd say it isn't worth £1795 but is probably actually worth....avoiding.0

yep lots of other non rover cars out there for the same money that will be a nicer more reliable car
the g/f has use of a rover with her nanny job , the headgasket failed at 50k miles , sunroof seal channel is rotted away so the seal no longer fits ,rotten wheel arches and plenty of rattles and cheap n nasty bits n bobs that you dont have to put up with with on modern cars0 -
As the others say, its a poor deal. Ignoring the Rover issues, for nearly £2k you could be getting something newer with a chance of lasting!0
