Hi, If you can stay in a holiday inn over there you could book using the freinds and family discount code on this forum and that could save you quite a bit.
The discount has sadly been discontinued :(

I think you can do it for that price. I am going to SF, LV and LA in July, and am doing the following:

2 nights in SF (hotel not yet booked, will pay approx £150 in total for 4*)
    Fly to LV £50
    2 nights in LV 4* £85
    Fly to LA £60
    3 nights in LA 4* £185

I am travelling alone, but the hotel prices are per room, so will be halved for your per person budget. My international flights are costing me £300, but that is for the taxes and surcharges on an award ticket.

If you want me to elaborate on anything just let me know ... I'm a tad hungover at the mo!
    Gone ... or have I?

we're doing San Fran, Vegas, Anaheim and LA this Aug/September and all except the Vegas Hotels have been booked with HOTWIRE - not only have i bagged a bargain i've been delighted with the hotels provide (you book not knowing the hotel's name) but using a site such as betterbidding.com you are 9% sure which hotel it is.

My hotels are 4-4.5 star and worked out approx 60-85 pounds per night. Also we got our flight from united airlines for £250 EACH but booked in January.

A rather arbitary figure is it not?

We've booked our hols in LA and have managed 12 days for £1321.97 total for two people and which also includes a one nigth stay at Heathrow along with parking for the whole time. We don't intend to drive whilst we are out there - that's just not a holiday!!

Virgin had a sale on flights LHR to LAX for 645.28 total for two people - I have checked and they are about 1600 each now.

We are staying in the Sportsman's Lodge - Universal City for half the time and I think we booked that via hotels.com with the £10 off a night discount which comes to £341.66 for 6 nights.

Our second stay is at the Crowne Plaza hotel in Anaheim which we booked through hotwire.com which was a secret 3.5 star deal which comes to £229.91.

The LHR hotel was also a secret hotel deal from lastminute.com and came to 55 for the night.

Parking was via Virgin via Purple parking and came to 50 for the whole time we are away.

Don't forget to use quidco - we forgot but for the lastminute.com hotel which got us £3.71 and wish we had remembered for the others.

My OH did most of the research and we looked at many many websites before going with the deals we did. :) Hope that helps a bit :)

Sportsmans Lodge is my favourite place to stay in the world. Cracking place, location, staff etc and out of town actors usually stay here also, its the only place i seem to celeb spot in LA....

I Fly US Airways (out of MAN) several times a year for work and very rarely have an issue with them. Depending on where you are located have a look at flying out of Birmingham (BHX) instead with MAN.

US Airways have recently introduced the BHX to Philly leg so you can get some great deals. I was looking at going to Orlando and from MAN it was around £680 but from BHX it was £380 with exactly the same dates.

    Good luck!

    Oooh that's good to hear!

We booked it mainly due to the cost (the per night prices were almost half) and the reviews that we found on tripadvisor. :)

I had better swot up on my celebs then, hrmm.

    Thanks.
