If you wanted the firewall you needed to buy internet security suite, thefirewall isnt bad but Zone alarm is better I think. Kerio is even better but requires alot more work to get going.
I personally think Mcafee is a good peice of AV, and your desision to move away from Norton was a good one you should notice improved performance from your pc. AVG is ok, I am unsure about the speed and evectiveness of the updates to new threats but for free you cant really complain.0 -
There are those who say that changing antivirus from Norton to McAfee are moving out of the frying pan into the fire, but (as always) 'your kilometreage may vary'.

The PC (home computer initiative) came with 3 months trial of Norton and then McAfee for 3 years (the duration of the hire) I thought it was a bit poor not getting the McAfee Firewall and having to rely on the microsoft firewall.
Anyway it all seems to be working fine and Norton has been banished.0
