Asda did a 3 for £? deal when we moved recently - not the greatest quality ones but they've got things like teaching resources, xmas decs, my handbags I've got bored with collection in and shoved in the bottom of the spare room wardrobes now.
We just went round local shops scrounging boxes though - and any deliveries that came in to schools I was working at - I had those boxes away as well!Little miracle born April 2012, 33 weeks gestation and a little toughie!0 -

when I moved house last, for my books I used those super-strong carriers that Lidl sell for 99p, they hold a lot, but not too much to lift & they're a lot easier to carry than boxes
& they're handy for all sorts of things once emptied

I don't pay my council tax to supply all and sundry with removal boxes.
My council certainly wouldn't part with more than one at a time anyway.Decluttering, 20 mins / day Jan 2024 2/20
