Another Welcome Finance problem

Well, when I read the letter, I was absolutely fuming!! It's like they just ignored everything I put in the letter and read what they wanted to read! Plus the fact that they addressed the letter to Miss Smith Smith, instead of Miss Jane Smith!! (Not my actual name btw, lol Just to show what they did!)
Yeah, I will do this. He did say in the letter if I have any evidence, to send it on. But I'll send the complaint to FOS too, just in case.
Your defo doing the right thing hunni and we will help you through this until this is finally resolved.;)XXThe one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
I've never received any documentation regarding the life assurance or the PPI. The leaflet I do have says that the policy will be with Norwich Union (now Aviva) or Direct Group, but then the only number to call in case of a claim is a Welcome number. Gave them a call and surprise surprise, I don't have anything with either. The Direct Group guy said it would have been with them and that my details should have been passed to them to set up the cover, but there's nothing at all!! Even tried my Welcome customer number in case the address was wrong, but nothing.
He suggested I call Welcome, but I know I'm just going to be fed a ton of lies.
Has anyonme else had this problem and what did you do?0 -

Hi there
You've been running around in circles then?
Wonder if its worth you giving someone like the FSA or the Office of Trading (OFT) a call?
They may hopefully give you the correct details, fingers crossed.

Hi di.
I've sent my complaint to the FOS.
I also sent a reply to Welcomes final response letter, letting them know that I've sent the complaint to the FOS. I also added that I contacted the insurance groups and they have no records of me having any kind of insurance.
However! Yesterday I received another letter from Welcome. This one had a different agreement number to the first letter. I'm assuming this is my first agreement? Also, the Our Ref number is different. So, I think they're treating both agreements separately?
The letter states that they haven't received the questionnaire that they sent in their original correspondence ?? I haven't received any questionnaire!
I've replied again saying that I haven't received the questionnaire and that all the information they needed was in my first letter to them anyway.
What a mess!
And, can I just add - I thought the first letter they sent was shocking! This one was addressed to "Dear Sirs"!! The cheek!!0 -
Lou, you sound like you've had the same problem as me.
I sent my initial letter in April; received a questionnaire back; I didn't complete this and sent a second letter reminding them of the reasons from my first letter; received another letter addressed to 'sirs' as well; in return I sent a final letter, recorded, to remind them to hurry up as the 8 weeks had almost completed, this was signed for so I have proof of receipt, but they can't find this letter. hmmmmm
I'm not putting up with anymore crap from them, it's another complaint to the FOS.0 -

Hi hun
Good for you going to the FOS, I'm sure they will sort this out for you.;)
They do to what I know of treat every account separately, I'm sure someone will rectify this if I'm wrong here.
Crikey what a cheek they have.......
Good luck with this and like any complaint, if you hear nothing then go to the FOS.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

Yep, I have done. I was going to call Welcome about it, but I know they'll just tell me a load of lies and excuses. So, I've just added it in my last letter to them.
I had typed out the FOS form on the PC and had to add a few more bits in writing lol :rotfl:0
