Just long enough for you to sweat a bit and want to pay more.
Or are we all too cynical?
How long had the house been on the market at this price? If it's less than a few weeks then maybe - otherwise I'd guess it would have to be an incredible fluke that two people suddenly wanted this house.
It's been marketed for only one week. Last Sat it went on rightmove and the EA's website0 -
Well it's possible then...
I'd be very sus if it was on for months.0 -
I would have thought a good quality house in a decent area of Cardiff would always be in demand no matter what the housing market is doing nationally!0

This must be the case Mark, selling for 5k under asking within 7 days of being on market shows it was priced competetively!0

The rightmove link says Sold subject to conditions, so did you get it, or did it go to someone else???Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -
Yes, we both offered 200k and vendor went to the other buyer as they offered first. Wounder!0

Keep fingers crossed, lots can still go wrong (survey, valuation, dependant sale etc) and they may be back to you.;)
And keep looking. These things happen & then you often find something better - for less!0
