How do you know when your too drunk to drive home, you swerve to miss the tree but it's actually your air freshener hanging in front of you :D

This reminded me of my SIL's 40th birthday last year where I drank the best part of a bottle of vodka (the next day I'd have struggled to get a pub double out of what was left:o).

When I first rose in the morning I felt fine but within 15 minutes (enough time to drink some water, get washed and dressed) I started to feel... badly. Fast forward 5 minutes and I realised I was still inebriated from the night before. Had to phone my brother to ask if he'd drive me to work then spent a fortune on greasy food from the canteen trying to soak up the alcohol). didn't actually start to feel human again until two days later. Hven't ever drunk that much since ( and don't think I could down that much alcohol ever again).

And yes, it was all on an empty stomach:eek::eek::eek:

I'm another one who woke up thinking "OMG - its marathon weekend ".

I even, momentarily, considered asking for this afternoon off work, because I have got so much to do and not much time to do it in.......but the reality is that I will be rushing around tomorrow morning in a panic instead, I'm sure!

Hope you all have a good day x

morning all - becky, really pants about your wages... depending on the type of transfer they sent thru they could still pop into your account at any point today...

Sally - sorry to hear about grumpy OH, don't let him affect your mind too much for this weekend.. i wish i was nearer so i could help in some way...

Sammy - enjoy your day off!!

Cat - at least Evie is settling when you hold her... i remember leaving erin in the middle of my bed when she was screaming her head off, shutting the bedroom door and sitting in the hallway bawling my eyes out as she just wouldn't settle in any way shape or form....

i think it only happenned the once, and i really didn't know what to do as she was a good baby otherwise...

maybe Evie will sleep at bedtime in her moses but no other times... erin used to have her day naps in the pram.... maybe the movement would settle her more? Remove the need to be close to you but she can still sense you're there?

Hypno - i'd ask for the afternoon off if i were you. I'm sure work would understand... even if you achieved nothing in the afternoon, i bet you could use the "me time"
I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....
