also look on it as we have x number of wins to receive and if I enter a comp for something I don't want it might take away one of the wins I do want.......am I strange??

i know what you mean, I tend to think like that aswel! & also it means that all your wins are fab rather that getting wins bulked out by things you don't have any interest in :D

ps: we certainly don't think you are greedy, i would of done the same if I could win on that comp & would do the same if a similar comp was to crop up
Thanks to everyone that posts :T:money:

I know I won a lot of coffee machines on that comp but after I figured they were chasing me, I only entered to win them for MSE'ers and I know the 5 I've won for people on here were really appreciated so please don't class me in with these greedy people either. I had a knack for a comp and used to to others advantage, not my own :)

Kim, that doesn't come into the equation; entering with a person/people in mind to give the prize to is absolutely fine. It's the whole..."ooh look it's a comp, let's enter" and then "oh poo, what do I do with a horse clipper; I live in a council flat in Tooting...anyone want it?" thing that pees us off. I love you to bits for winning me a coffee machine (although I may need to email them my new address if they don't sent it soon cos I'm moving in 2 months!)

Afternoon lovelies, just got on properly for first time today, my Mum has been for lunch (she bought a custard danish for pudding too :o) had a nice men free chat and I gave her lots of goodies from my prizes :D

I have a confession to make :o, I won a Sackboy too, I had entered it as it was posted and didn't see Sparky's message that is was pick up only at the time. I emailed them straight back this morning and asked them to re-draw, I thought it was easier than trying to give it to someone then finding they couldn't claim my prize etc.

Daughter's lappy update: She finally got through on web chat last night after a two hour queue and it's a good job she's firm and takes no carp as they didn't want to do anything for us as we couldn't provide purchase information, I read part of what she was typing in web chat and it went something like "what part of "it was a prize" do you not understand??" :rotfl:anyway despite that the customer service was very good and they eventually agreed to treat us as a paying customer after discussions with line managers. So next he said that it would be picked up Wednesday and go back for repair taking 10 to 12 days to be returned which of course is a disaster from the aspect of getting her disitation finished but nothing we can do so she'll have to borrow Mum's lappy and thankfully a fair bit of her work is on external storage. Then he looked at the postcode!!!!:mad::mad: When are people going to realise that we may be an Island but we are part of the UK mainland as far as deliveries are concerned? it costs no more to post here, all the usual couriers visit here and we are not the Isle of Mann or the Channel Islands!! grrrrrr anyway, the latest is, she got called at work today and they can't pick up from the Isle of Wight so they are sending an engineer to repair it!! !!!!!!??? lol how is that easier than getting a courier to collect?? perhaps one of their engineers need a holiday lmao. Anyway I guess it will be a bit quicker but they can't say when it will be, how long it will take or any other useful information. All we need is the flippen SSD, there is an IT tech in the house (DS) and two Systems Administrators (me and DH) it would have been so much easier for all concerned if they'd just sent that, and I know they normally do as Puple Dragon said that's what they normally do and reading various tech forums yesterday they all said that's what happened anyway :rolleyes:

Ah well, I will let you know the next instalment as we here it :rotfl:

Hugs to all, off to see how many pages have been posted since yesterday evening xxxxxxx
That ain't working! That's the way to do it, money for nothing and TV's for free ;)

anyone elses PTP just gone nuts? All mine have gone, no more eggs, back to presents?

and aye,I agree about the whole winning situ above, but I also agree people shouldn't be made to feel guilty for winning something, especially as it could easily be a mistake. I enter things I don't want - but would happily give to someone else... but yeah, the boards as a whole has gotten... weird recently. too weird for me. So I'm keeping my mouth shut more, to avoid any more attacks..

Nicky, again, you misread and that's ok; at least you got them to redraw.
