I agree to an extent - but sometimes it is a genuine mistake. I got a WEM for a Sackboy this morning, and I genuinely didn't read the bit about picking it up (wish I had as I wouldn't have wasted the time entering!).
Sometimes, it is a mistake.
I probably entered the glasses one too, as my OH has glasses, but did so before someone pointed out they were childrens glasses as a prize. An honest mistake. So please don't condemn everyone who wins but can't use prizes as being the same.

I have to say, I am not slagging everyone off; I'm so thankful that Raggamuffin offered me her prize. And again, let's say I entered to win a holiday to Barbados but got a runner up prize of a Blu ray disc, I'd sell it as I have no Blu ray player, or if the runner up prize was tickets to some boring expo in London, as I wouldn't want to go and travel from Liverpool, I'd offer them. But as I have no kids and no pets, and nobody to win them for right now, I wouldn't enter such comps. I don't have an issue with for example BM, who entered to win a baby prize for someone who then lost the baby. *hugs in fact to you*

Yeah, it's usually guest list on the door/box office with ID. So selfish and pointless.

I've noticed some regulars staying away which is sad, eg Toni of course, and Easter, TooManyKids, or people just cutting down.

I entered the glasses comp for DD, the way she keeps losing hers it would lovely for her to have yet another pair (still missing one pair!). She had one pair which she lost at Brownies so I bought her some more which were on offer (Buy one get one half price) so bought her 2 then but the first ones turned up again so she now has 3 pairs, she just forgets where she puts them LOL

When I won my York family break away I won 4 York Passes (2 adults, 2 kids) with LO only being 2 she didn't need hers so I offered it on here. It's valid until next year but so far nobody has wanted it, which is a shame because some lovely places to go on it. The whole prize package came to over £500 so for me to give away £22 (value online) I thought that was ok, otherwise it would be wasted.

It's VERY rare for me to enter for things I know straight away I wouldn't use (or others I know) but sometimes it does happen (I.E runners up prize etc) but then again there is far too many greedy people on the boards now who just enter for the sake of entering.

I'm a bit miffed to have missed that comp myself; I can still wear kids' glasses myself...and I do in fact cos it's cheaper. Mine are all scratched and bent.

I have to say I agree with you all. I rarely enter for tickets as I know we wouldn't use most of them and it's not fair depriving someone just so I can claim a win. I also look on it as we have x number of wins to receive and if I enter a comp for something I don't want it might take away one of the wins I do want.......am I strange??

I know I won a lot of coffee machines on that comp but after I figured they were chasing me, I only entered to win them for MSE'ers and I know the 5 I've won for people on here were really appreciated so please don't class me in with these greedy people either. I had a knack for a comp and used to to others advantage, not my own

I'm trying to win festival tickets at the mo & would be gutted if someone won & they went to waste, one persons junk is another persons treasure n all that lol.
