only if you expressly gave them permission to do so. Did you tick a box allowing them?Even if you are a minority of one, the truth is the truth.0

data protection act says no if a UK registered site, so complain to the dato protection people, the header should not display all the email addresses

It has probably been a genuine mistake and they havent meant to give out everyones email addresses! You are probably getting all upset over nothing and the company has clicked the wrong button!
When I get emails from the mystery shopping company that I do work for I can only nornally see my email address only - even though I can tell it has gone to a whole long list - but cant see everyone elses names or email addresses - theyve probably just clicked a wrong button or had a trainee on!Weight Loss - 102lb0 -

Think what the earlier poster means is doesnt put it on mailing lists etc! Just uses for correspondence?Weight Loss - 102lb0 -
A couple of companies have been guilty of this of late. I would take it up with the company involved and express your unhappiness at it. I have complained in writing to one company recently because my details should have been removed and were not so I am taking it further.
After all it is not rocket science to BCC recipients.0 -

Having said that, I'm surprised at a big company doing this: I'd have thought they'd have their systems set up better than mine are so that this just doesn't happen! DH (small charity like me) has set up some distribution lists where you don't have to BCC them to keep the email addresses hidden, but he's more techie minded than me, and I think the words 'server' or 'web-based' have been mentioned a few times ...UKays_Finest wrote:Unless your the Queen of Sheba, I don't see why it matters.Signature removed for peace of mind0 -
