I love them glasses, they look so good. the only thing is i'm getting married abroad so not sure i'd want to risk taking them with me, knowing me i would break them! I'm thinking along the lines of little jewellry boxes, found some really nice ones on Ebay, so might just get them. Thanks for all your ideas :) x

I don't think so..i think if you buy them their dresses and let them keep them then its classed as a gift, i could be wrong though! I'm not actually buying my bridesmaids dresses my mum is, so just thought i should get them a gift from us to say thanks x

I got the personalised glasses for my groomsmen and a personalised necklace for my bridesmaids. I have not received the necklaces yet but the email communication has been really good. They were from ebay (as with most of my wedding purchases) http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ANY-NAME-NECKLACE-Birthstones-Personalised-Jewellery_W0QQitemZ330324746611QQihZ014QQcategoryZ10999QQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp1742.m153.l1262

I will try to post a piccy when they arrive ;)

I called in to Connicks in Birmingham Jewellery quarter today and chose a gorgeous compact mirror and had it engraved on the spot. They do have a catalogue which is usually found amongst the junk mailings inside the wedding magazines but this cute square compact was not included in the main brochure it is new in stock. It is approx 2.5- 3 inch square has an embossed heart on the one side and the engraving has been done on the reverse.

If you order either on line or via their catalogue you are restricted on the amount of lettering you can have but in store while it is being made in front of you, they are more flexible and reduce the sizing down to fit everything on without it looking cramped or impossible to read.

This cost £12.99 and we also picked up a 5fl oz hip flask for best man and also had this engraved which cost £24.99. They do offer discount on some of the products if buying in multiples. HTH.

That sounds really nice, what did u get engraved on them? I quite like the idea of little jewellry boxes and getting them engraved. I'm a bit far from birmingham though unfortunatly! I might have to look for somewhere near me that does engraving and then maybe buy some little jewellry boxes off ebay, but i also like the name necklaces and i know my 10 year old bridesmaid would love that, just not so sure on the other one though! x

  • How much are you wanting to spend? I found a place that did name necklaces, the same as Carrie wears on Sex in the City (apparently!?) for my daughter. They were shipped from Malaysia but they're really pretty.
Where did you get the necklace from I want one! It sounds fab???
