virgin mobile refurbs

hi just wondered if anyone had bought refurbished mobile from virgin mobile and if so was any good,did it come with all accesories,was in a box and if so was a normal virgin box or did it say refurb on the box,only reason i ask is because i want a poppy phone for a gift any help would be good.ta

They come with all accessories, in a normal box, but with a massive (non-removable probably) white sticker on the box saying its refurbished

I have bought a couple of phones from Virgin and they have always seamed to be just as new.

As said above they do come in a proper Virgin box but it does have a sticker on it that I have never managed to remove.

It really depends on who the gift is for. If it is for a younger person, you could do what I did for my daughter.

I bought a really nice box with a lid from a shop called Natrelle (or something like that) fro a couple of pound and put all the bits inside to make it look special.

My daughter loved it and it was a bigger surprise as there was no mobile phone box to give it away. She loves her phone and still uses the special box.

thanks i just did'nt want it to come without a box i once bought a refurb from vodafone and it came in a plastic clear packet so as long as it looks decent that's fine thanks again

The two Siemens A65 Virgin refurbs that I received this week came in brand new boxes with all the accessories. However, the boxes clearly stated in two places that these phones were refurbs. This was the actual printing on the glossy box and not some label that could be removed.

I should also have said that one handset was unlocked but the other locked to Virgin.

I bought a refurb poppy phone from Virgin two weeks ago. Had to send in back as the screen kept going blank and the only way I could turn it off was by taking out the battery. Having said that, the phone was in perfect condition and came with all the accessories.

They were fine about a refund, they said me out some prepaid packaging and I sent the phone back - refund straight in my account about a week after I sent it.

Perhaps I was just unlucky but it has put me off buying a refurb again.

Got a refurb V3 before christmas, came in a red box which said refurbished. Couldn't tell the phone was a refurb, came with all accessories (more than what came with a new V3 someone I know bought from The Link) Phones was locked, but got it unlocked at a market for £5.00

I got a Poppy phone from Virgin yesterday. The Box has "Fully Refurbished" printed on it.

The phone looks brand new with no marks or scratches on it.

The only problem so far seems to be that I can't find any ringtones or games that can be downloaded onto it. The ones that I got to via the Seimens website don't work.

I have bought over 10 refurbished phones (Siemens A50, A60, Nokia 2600, Nokia 3100) in past 1 year and all except 1 were in very good condition. All of them came with Earphones along with the usuals battery, charger, manual.

I also bought a Nokia 2600 new one, but it didn't come with the earphone.

Good thing with Virgin is, 28-day period for free returns.
