Potting shed v greenhouse??

I've been having this debate with myself . I have visions though of the potting shed with a nice comfy chair in it and a little camping stove with kettle and a place to put my gardening magazines, oh and a biscuit tin with all my seeds in. However appealing a greenhouse is I can't help feeling that I could get a lot of use out of a shed ( with a "no children allowed" sign on the front door) and am tempted to ask for contributions towards it for my 40th birthday in the Autumn. DH thinks I am mad !

can you not cheerfully pot and do the same things in a greenhouse that you would in a shed? I am confused as to the main advantages of a potting shed?

Errm ................. not sure someone on an allotment without toilets would agree with you on this Rummer.............. ;)

Sorry to be a bit thick. What is a potting shed?

I have a shed that has a full width sloping front window with a potting bench underneath it...........Is it a potting shed?

Biscuit tins are for biscuits! Lovely, lovely biscuits. Now THAT's a shed I could feel at home in, one with tea and custard creams.... and maybe a small box for seeds.

Naturally there would be a packet of custard creams in there, that goes without saying !
I think I'm sold on the idea of a potting shed and will stick with my little plastic greenhouses as I think I'll get all year round benefit from my [STRIKE]haven of peace and tranquility away from children[/STRIKE] potting shed.

Actually I have found what I want, it is http://www.taylorsgardenbuildings.co.uk/store/customer/product.php?productid=17317#main%20picture

I wonder whether it would be possible to buy a cheap pent shed and get someone locally to build the greenhouse bit onto it.

I so want that shed/greenhouse combo although I could never afford it. Guess I will have to stick with my greenhouse and separate shed. I don't have an allotment so I didn't think about the practical applications of a shed!
Taking responsibility one penny at a time!
