Zenith Windows - Pushy Photographer!!

I thought Zenith had gone bust too! I had windows fitted by them a few years ago and they constantly rang me up asking if I was interested in guttering and soffits and that they had a guy in the area who could come round in a few minutes. They always seemed to have a guy in the area every time they rang. Hope it wasn't always the same bloke as he must have been a bit bored!
Anyway, I've not heard from Zenith in over a year now so that's why I thought they had gone bust or maybe the alledged bloke in my area got fed up and legged if after 2 years of waiting!Debt 30k in 2008.:o Cleared all my debt in 2013 and loving being debt free

They might, but if they check and you aren't a Trading Standards Officer, you are committing a criminal offence (and they WILL prosecute such). You could arguably as dave mentions above, say that you work for TS, as there are non enforcement staff working in the offices, but for gawds sake just don't say you are an officer.
As for salesmen, you could annoy them and offer to let them measure up etc. Legally they are required to give you 7 days notice before starting any work costing more than £35, unless you sign to say that you waive that right (please ensure you FULLY read any contract you sign up to with sales people). You can then of course cancel any orders you made.
They'll soon get the message0
