Ebay Help please

Hi kprigg,did you have to change your paypal account details at all, and frivolous_fay thankyou I will. I am not tecnically minded and had only just started to buy things over the internet and this has really got to me.

I changed Paypal & e-mail passwords just in case. I dont understand how my account was compromised & didnt want to take any chances.

Just on ebay luve chat now to see if I can sort the e0mail problem.

still on live chat - its taking forever! They are not grasping the fact that Im not receiving any emails from them, but am everyone else & that this has only been happening since my account was used.
They keep going back top the fact that the account was unheld & is OK to use. I keep saying that isnt the problem, its the lack of e-mails Grrrrrrrrr

Have just been told that its not their problem so must be Yahoo's problem - cant see that it is though as I am receiving e-mails, just not from them. :eek: :mad:
Anyway - Im going to bed Im usually woken up at 5am each morning & need my beauty sleep!

I had this exact same problem yesterday which was sorted out from the live chat. I was not able to receive ebay emails. It is a problem with your yahoo account. They told me to go into mail options and check my blocked addresses. Ebay.co.uk and ebay.com were there to be blocked. Now I did not block them and had been receiving ebay emails daily until a few days ago when my account was hacked into, so someone else has blocked ebay addresses in my yahoo account.

Matphil - Thank you for helping!
I have now found that ebay has also been added to my blocked list, so the person who hacked into my ebay also snooped on my email account. Just aswell that Ive changed all passwords.
Feel a bit guilty though for thinking ebay were at fault & just brushing it under the carpet - the were right all along!

Glad to be able to help. It's a horrible feeling knowing that someone has been through your email account and your ebay account.
I don't use my ebay account very often but I subscribe to a search on there which sends me daily emails so when I stopped having these emails I knew something was wrong and checked it out otherwise it could have taken ages before I logged into ebay.
Perhaps you can do the same, mine is local bargains where something new is added each day. I now know that if I don't get this email one day then someone has again hacked into my account.
