Deck stain problem
Comments

The only time I ever ancountered a problem with decking stain (we used to sell cuprinol and ronseal) was when either a) there was still too much moisture in the decking (ideally you need 3 or 4 days without rain for decking to be dry enough) or b) the stain was being put onto decking which had, at some point, been treated with a waterproofer. Other than that I've never had an issues...If it looks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, we have at least to consider the possibility that we have a small aquatic bird of the family anatidae on our hands

Interesting reading this. I had a deck done last year and bought over £100 worth of Ronseal Decking Stain. This spring, it has mostly come off, leaving bare wood. I followed the instructions to the letter and have just emailed Ronseal stating that i am very unhappy with the product. I am happy to photograph etc etc and know that my contract was with Wilkinsons whom i bought it off............but.......as far as i am concerned the product 'didnt do what it said on the can'!
Faulty product / extreme winter??? I am waiting for the myriad of excuses......I'll keep you updated. One by one the penguins steal my sanity.0
