Calling Card to call 0844 0871 or 0870
Hi
Does anyone know which is the best calling card and how many minutes i can get to call following numbers. If you use a calling card you can check number of minutes against your credit by just calling these numbers.
1. 0844
2. 0871 / 0871
I think there are different prices on weekdays and weekends. I just need fair price on available calling cards. Your help will really make a difference.
Thanks

They are unlikely to be any cheaper via a calling card than their normal tariff of 5p and 10p, and actually may not be available.
edit - oops, sorry, I didn't realise this was in mobiles ...
at least pricefighter asked the right questions0 -
What network are you calling them from.(Payg or Contract) ?
What destinations are you trying to reach?PF.0 -
I am going to use Vodaphone as I have 200 minutes. But I know vodaphone charges a lot on these numbers and no international number is available for vodaphone or orange. I am on contract with vodaphone and pay as you go with orange. I want to buy a card so that i can use inclusive minutes as well as voip softphone to call international destinations. If someone has previously used calling card he/she can give an idea about it though.0

The OP could take a look at 1899/18185/18866 via their London access numbers. They have good rates for landlines, but not quite as keen for mobiles, which I'm wondering about as you mentioned 0871.
Or plenty of calling cards if you do Google search0 -
What Intl Destinations are you trying to reach. Please be more specific.PF.0

If you are making frequent call on this number, it mught be worth consider finding some O2 free 12 month contract, as O2 network inclusive minute covers 08** numbers. see the following thread for details.

O2 inclusive minutes do not include calls to 0871 numbers. Also O2 Payg online x-net and bolt on inclusive minutes include calls to 0800/0808/0844/0845/0870 numbers.PF.0 -
I am going to call India/Pakistan/Norway/Spain. O2 seems to be the best option. But what about the calling cards. Are there no calling cards to avoid bulky rates of BT to call these special numbers.0

As i am aware their are no providers that offer you cheap calls to fixed rate numbers like 0844/0871.
I cant help you on India/Pakistan but you can if you have Voda x-net minutes use the https://www.pre-dial.com access number 07730 666890 to call Norway and Spain E&W.(Your find it under free destination list.) Its a real mobile no (O2) so its allowed out of x-net minutes.PF.0 -
I have also found that Norway is free on voipcheap and still looking for india/pak access number that can be used from orange/voda mobile. Is there any voip services that allow calling 0844 numbers.0
