Vodafone Mobile Internet - 50p/day from 1st May 2009
Vodafone are changing the price of their mobile data daily rate to 50p per day from 1/5/2009, subject to a fair use limit of 25MB a day.
Why pay more for mobile internet?
From Friday 1 May 2009 you can browse your favourite websites for just 50p per day. So you can catch up with mates on Facebook, get the latest news, gossip or goals without worrying about cost.

I read the T&Cs on this a while back and I took it to be a flat rate of 50p, compared to the 'up to £1' they have at the moment.
I currently spend about 2p - 5p per day checking my emails. My understanding was that, from 1st May, this would now be rounded up to 50p each day.
Can anyone shed any light on this? Am I right !?
EDIT: Just clicked through and re-checked. 50p per day for even the smallest amount of data usage. So this will be useless for me, taking my monthly internet cost from around £1 to £15. It's a good job that my contract is up mid May and I can re-negotiate.Whilst my posts do not constitute financial advice, I am always, without fail, 100% right!0 -

I thought this as well when reading the small print on that page. The wording of the change for Pay As You Go customers is ambiguous to say the least:Pay as you Go Customers
Browsing data is charged at 50p/day subject to a fair use limit of 25MB a day. Most customers do not reach this limit.
Pay Monthly customers on the default 'Pay As You Surf' plan will definitely be worse off unless they switch to one of the new Data packs:Pay Monthly Customers
All data browsing from your mobile will be charged at 50p per day. As you start a browsing session you will incur on a 50p charge and you will not incur in any further charges during that day.
...
Customers who have taken up a data pack as part of their tariff or as an add-on, will not be affected by the change in pricing.0
