At my lowest ebb in life... ever!!

Hi Scorpio
We all get times when we just get to a low point in life. Please don`t beat yourself up too much. Accept where you are right now & clear your head with a long walk or a trip out somewhere & use that time to find the positives in your life. Look ahead & use this as an opportunity to find out what YOU want out of life....a new career maybe, a qualification..anything.
Some good pointers re self employment on this thread....I did`nt know that cleaners could earn that much!
Take care, Angiex0 -
You're definitely not alone! I lost my business (and job, obviously) at the end of Feb and have applied for about 25 different vacancies since then. I've only heard back from 3 of them in total - It can be very demoralising, especially when I receive no benefits.
On the positive side of things, I no longer have to service the ridiculous debts I had and the weather is glorious!
Keep applying for work, something has to come up sooner or later!“I contend that we are both atheists. I just believe in one fewer god than you do. When you understand why you dismiss all the other possible gods, you will understand why I dismiss yours.”

Thats a brilliant idea. I work as a community nurse and am always being asked if I know any good cleaners on a small scale rather than the large cleaning companies. In the south west you could easily get £10-£12 per hour.

Greetings. Like yourself, I am at my lowest ebb now for 2 and a half years. Yet, I still continue; God knows why cos what I have seen so far SUCKETH's major league style; just me, though and we are ALL different. That is not to say, however, that it has not also been positive because, unlike before all those life changing events, I now have a far greater appreciation of the very real problems people face daily. How we deal with things is different and no one is born with the self capacity or the manual to know how to deal with life changing events - which is the main trigger for depressive periods; don't need to tell you that, though, I expect. It is how we confront, deal with them next that counts. So, I fully appreciate how things are for you right now. I can 'appreciate' and that is all. What I would suggest to you is to pay a visit to your GP. Anti-depressents are not suitable for everyone (for a good variety of reasons; and not one specific one works for one but not the next; in most instances they cause more problems than before shall we say), there are other things available eg counselling being just one (with someone who is properly qualified preferably, and is quite mature eg not someone who took a 6 week course in college with little or no life experience; I hope you appreciate what I am saying there?) hence you need to get this advice from the correct people.
So, please understand and appreciate that for anyone in this situation you need the advice from the proper people.
I wish you well and please take these words as intended and NOT as a disagreement or criticism. Which they are not BTW.Any help, opinions, views I may hold those are my own. Respect them as you would expect the same in return. Offered freely, is gleaned from a lifetime of experiences, knowledge gaining. Passed on to benefit others. I may be direct, ask you questions but those are to help you. Up to you if you choose to take it. I won't judge you either way.
