Hi there,

I ordered a phone from CarphoneWarehouse on O2 Leisure Times Plus plan, the letter I got from O2 states clearly that the plan include 1000 off-peak minute plus 25 off-peak x-net minutes.

But when I logged on to CarPhoneWarHouse online billing site, it showed the following table. I havent even started to use the phone, anyone know what those number in the table stands for, minutes or calls left?

thanks.

bundle usage total remainin
O2-LT+ Combi(Offpeak Calls) 178
O2-LT+ Combi(Messages) 100
New12DblBnd05(Messages) 100
O2-LT+ Combi(Offpeak XNetwork Calls) 4
New12DblBnd05(Double Bundle Offpeak Calls) 177
New12DblBnd05(Double Xnetwork minutes) 4

your next bill
current unbilled charges £0.00
next bill date 13/03/2006
Direct Debit date for next bill 27/03/2006

  • Hi lkoky,

I can help with explaining the allocation information:

    O2-LT+ Combi(Offpeak Calls) 178 (minutes available)
    O2-LT+ Combi(Messages) 100 (messages available)
    New12DblBnd05(Messages) 100 (double messages promotion)
    O2-LT+ Combi(Offpeak XNetwork Calls) 4 (minutes available)
New12DblBnd05(Double Bundle Offpeak Calls) 177 (double minutes promotion)
New12DblBnd05(Double Xnetwork minutes) 4 (double minutes promotion)

    your next bill
    current unbilled charges £0.00
    next bill date 13/03/2006
Direct Debit date for next bill 27/03/2006

The reason you have not been allocated that full number of minutes is that the billing cycle you have been placed on does not reset until 13/03/06 so you have been given a pro-rata allocation of minutes until your first bill cycle starts.

On 13 March, you will be allocated all of your minutes and you will see that it matches up to what you were expecting. The first bill will charge you a pro-rata amount for your line rental and also for a full month, as you will always pay your line rental in advance.

Hope this helps. If you need any more info let me know.

They calculate billing date randomly or any other consideration. So your first bill is not always exactly for a month.

I got the phone on 22nd and my billing date was 2 of next month.
So i got first bill of £29 instead of just £20 (bill for around 40 days)
  • Carphone Warehouse has several difference billing dates. When you sign up you are automatically put on to the billing cycle closest to the date you took out your contact. So sometimes it is a few days before you get a full allocation of minutes, but sometimes it can but almost a month. It just depends on the date you sign up. I know it can be a little confusing but after the first bill it sorts itself out.

Good to know, there are some users for CPW-O2 contract. I am trying to find some answers regarding this contract.

I have been with O2 Direct contract for past 8 months and I find it very good to use Simplyfone numbers and regularly updated itemised billing (24-72 hrs delay in updates).

How does CPW-O2 contract compare to a O2-Direct contract.
    1) Can we use CPW-O2 Anytime 200 tariff to call Simplyfone 07744 numbers as part of inclusive minutes.
    2) Is the online itemised billing system updated regularly.

Yes you can dial simplyfone, using CPW 200 minutes.
Online billing from O2 is update in 72 hours (almost) I think myCPW is also like that.

Is there a free number to contact O2-CPW customer service?. Everytime I call them on the 0870 number there is a long wait time. O2-Direct has a free number 100 from handset.
