Is car insured when driven?

    No - I loaned my brother my old Granada (as he was without a car and it was "spare") it was uninsured and off road (before SORN etc). He was pulled over although he has "any vehicle" on his policy, but for these policy the car has to be insured in it's own right. My brother got no insurance fine & points, and I got uninsured vehicle (as I was registered keeper) This was over 8 years ago (as I've lived in Florida for 8 years) so may have changed.
