Hmmmm.... 7 Owners in 8 Years

According to the report I commisioned on a car I am looking at. Not a fancy one, no reason for it to be in huge demand, but then not a renowned duffer of a make/model either.
Not in depth yet, just a basic check.
Cause for major concern?
I guess it depends exactly who those 7 owners were I guess, maybe a company change of name, employee bought from his own company etc....
Any thoughts?

Does it have a service history to examine? My car is 5 months old, yet I'm its third owner - the first was the manufacturer who registered the car in November and sold it straight away to a dealer, who was going to use the car for a while, so registered it in his name, until I came along and made an offer on it, which they accepted.
It isn't necessarily anything to worry about, there can be all sorts of reasons.0 -
I was thinking along those lines.
Yes, there is a FSH which I will be checking thoroughly.
Only 70,000 miles as well so that is a good sign..... (Unless it has been laid up damaged for a while!)0 -
A few of the owners might be garages registering them for customers.0

yes, but it may also have had as many owners as each owner soon realised they had bought a lemon and moved it on.Mortgage free

Indeed that is possible, but that many transactions with dealers and/or private inspections?
Buyers, trade or private, are not very forgiving....
Could mean a lot of things I guess.0 -
If you think it's OK just spend a bit more time checking it over (RAC/AA inspection?).0

when you view it ask the history eg as above it could have been passed round the family but if they are each none related individuals id probably go with the lemon theory. I bought a 10 year old mini with 15 owners .. sold it on after 3 months ...... it was a lemon left a sour taste .If it doesnt pay rent sell it.
