help - unusual wedding favours

Hi, I need help my wedding is about 18 weeks away and I'd really like something unusual for my wedding favours. I like the idea of sugared almonds or chocolate dragees but not the usual netting or bags. Anyone got some unusual ideas that I could do myself?

I've got boxes from ebay, decorated them and put personalised chocs and dragees inside
I got mine in a 'hammered cream' colour, which has a lovely texture:

I got these carriages decorated in my colours as special 'extra' favours for our mums and my two best friends:

My friend had the same dilema and I suggested either a scratchcard or lottery ticket.
Works out rather cheap as they are a pound each plus there is always the chance someone could win big! Also, if you put them in a small envelope it could also double up as a name place settintg!0 -
I like the little tins you can get, but they're about £1 each, but thought I'd mention it anyway. A few examples

You can also get sets of tins in Ikea that are bigger so might be worth a look as you might be able to get just the little ones by themselves. My smallest one from ikea is as tall as a sachet of ketchup, as when I [STRIKE]steal[/STRIKE] tidy up the extra sachets after eating at the pub, they fit nicely in there
Love MSE, Las Vegas and chocolate!0 -
dont know if its what your looking for but i have tealight candles in the lil bags and a wee candle holder think there about 25p from ikea and a big bag of tea light candles for a pound for my favours0

The tuxedo boxes I might get for the male guests. I managed to get my cake boxes they are bride and groom boxes. But wanted something a little different for the favours.CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. i think favours mean more if they actually have some relevance to you as a couple or the theme of the day.
i wouldn't bother wasting the money if you are struggling to think of something - it just seems like people have them as it is some kind of fashion thing!0
