Jem, the best ISA at the moment is ING Direct's which is 6.55% but only for six months, then it drops to a variable rate of 5.13%. So stick with the Tax Beater as it's not worth changing. Plus, the Tax Beater offer is now closed so you have one that others would like to get hold of but can't! Ha ha!0

I know this is the discussion for Best Mini Cash ISA, but is there a discussion for best Tessa only ISA? Do any of you have any recommendations for this kind of account? Or will ISA providers accept funds transferred from TOISAs? The TOISA rate I am getting is 4.89% and I am sure I could do better than that.HOW MUCH CAN YOU SAVE?: OLYMPIC CHALLENGE 2007BRONZE 10% SILVER 25% GOLD 50% PLATINUM 75%January 7%February 13%March 20%April 27%May 32%June 39%July 45%August 54%September 62%October 68%0

Is it true that with a NS&I direct cash ISA you can only have up to £3000 in the account at any one time, not one penny over.
Or does this mean something different?

You can only open the NS&I ISA with new money so no transfers in.
Some people opened one with £3k last tax year and have now added £3k this year so £6k plus the interest gained so far. Next tax year they can add £3600 so £9600 plus interest.
So basically you can add £3k each year.0 -
crickey, I need to move money money out of the lousy HSBC ISA! At only 5.5% it's not looking too hot. NS&I and BMW look attractive, it's just a shame they won't let me transfer in.0

I have been in touch with A & L as I want to transfer my previous ISA funds to Kent reliance BS. They tried to offer me a 3 Years fixed rate of 8.5%, but I did not get more detail on this deal. I want to leave them as I am fed up!! Any information on that??0
