I would be very wary of a voucher that says you can go anywhere. No one I know issues such a voucher. You need to read the small print or telephone the voucher company and find out the restrictions. You may well find you can only fly with a particualr airline or have to buy accommodation. Years ago I collected vouchers for a pair of BMI flights to 'anywhere in Europe' At the time they had around 8 European destinations and to get two seats to Nice we had to travel on a Tuesday 6 months in advance. Sorry to be seen to be raining on your parade, but better to know the rules before you get too carried away

It's actually fairly common for people to give out prizes such as this. Either it will be 'sold' on behalf of a particular airline (most often Lufthansa & friends, which means that for eastern Europe it'll most likely be on Austrian via Vienna) or the company/organisation giving the prize markets it as a flight to anywhere and just buys an ordinary ticket for the winners when they've decided where they want to go.

Obviously the normal scam warnings apply, but no more specifically than usual.
