I've just seen this on The link website, looks like the same deal they did a little while ago, it works out £70 for the year (10 months free) on 12 month contract, use quidco or rpoints and you will reduce the further.

So, providing I only use only the free minutes, disconnect after 12months, all I pay for the phone and the line is £70 - (with a possible £25 cashback from quidco or other) = TOTAL £45

    Does this add up right?

EDITED AFTER: No, looks like a cashback deal, damm I hate those.

Not a good deal considering the cost for a old refurbished phone imo.

I got one last month and I am 100% happy.

The phones are less than 14 days old.

The only thing wrong is the delivey (DHL). My Dad ordered one, and it was fraudulently signed for and there is still a dispute between The Link and DHL and my Dad is without his new phone.

Got one of these for my wife last month - refurb phones are 'generally' not refurbed at all, they just need to get rid of excessive stock. I have now had 2 refurbs, the 6630 and the 6680 - both brand new in a plain box.

The deals, in my opinion at least, are great. It's not hard to follow a few simple rules for claiming cashbacks, and this sort of package is great value for money.... £3.75 per month for 400 mins and 250 texts, plus the other bits. You just can't get that sort of package without going down the cashback road.

As far as this being "Not a good deal considering the cost for a old refurbished phone imo" then I would point to the fact that these phones, 2nd hand, still easily fetch £100 on eBay. They might not be the very latest phones from Nokia, but they are hardly old hat.

I recently got the 6630 10 month free after the 6680 ran out. It came back in stock just as I got to 14 days. Never mind, still an excellent deal.

I'm still using my Motorola A1000 which is an excellent phone. Slightly chunky but good none-the-less. Waiting for something better than this. The 6680 isn't (for me), the N70 isn't... the N80 is getting there... The 6630 might get £50 on ebay. Combined with £10 tradein, that's very cheap for a year..

Been on 3 for the last year TT600 - excellent value, decent coverage, ever CS are reasonable. Thelink TT700 package comes also with £5 inclusive content per month, and an additional £2.50 gets 5Mb data (to selected sites only)

    Excellent deal...
