O2 broadband - leaving after 12 months - router return

When I spoke to customer services about cancelling my contract, the guy mentioned something about returning the O2 router supplied with the contract in an envelope he was going to send me. I think that was about a month ago, but no return envelope was delivered so far.

Do I have to bother and chase them up, so they sent me that envelope, or just forget about it ? Can they still charge me £50 without giving me a chance to return it ?

Thanks.

Perhaps you should ring them? he O2 wireless box is locked to their service so cannot be used elsewhere without hacking it. Just ring them and ask. You may as well return it as it isnt much use anywhere else.
