Does anyone know if its the case that I can have a DMP note that has been placed on my account to be removed?

I was led to believe that when all my debts were cleared this note should be removed too. Ive sent Cahoot a few emails but they have sent me around in circles. Do they have to remove this? If not when will it go off my file?

Don't apply for any sub-prime cards. Wait a few months for your default to drop off, then get a main-stream card. You say you've had a mobile contract for a year+, this would have helped your credit rating.

Just wait out the 6 years (of only a few months of which you have left) and get a much better card/apr/limit then you would have if you applied now.

    Hi,

Is it worth me applying for this card to rebuild my credit?

I have 2 defaults on my file from 5 years ago. Would it be better to wait than do a search on my file and risk being rejected? Or is it possible they may even accept me?

In the past year three accepted me for a mobile phone contract but before then I got turned down by rbs for a loan but that was 15 months ago. My experian score is 848.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks ;)
I had one default on my file which comes of in nov and they rejected me this week but i got accept for vanquis and cap one and barclay search equifax so it up to you. Hope this helps

I havent searched my EQ file yet so I had better do that first then to make sure its looking the same as my Experian one.

What Paris says in this post is true..... Barclays will not help if any adverse info present, best to try Aqua (HBOS) or Vanquis.

I applied this morning and it accepted me. I did wait until all my defaults had dropped off my files before applying though:
