Thanks, unfortunately it's not great news as it seems she has cancer, but the vet reckons we will still have her for a little while yet.

Hope it goes well today - will check back for news later.
    :( Can they help her?

I don't think so, he didn't mention surgery as an option and I think he said it had spread. She also has some fluid in her chest, whatever that means. I was in shock so can't remember exactly.

He has given her a lot of drugs to try and stop it getting any worse. He said we should keep our eye on her and if she gets any worse then the kindest thing to do would be to have her put to sleep.

She was quite poorly yesterday because of the drugs, but she is a bit brighter today - although still not her usual self.

    He IS my little boy!

Anyway the vet finally called me hust after 7PM, I was going crazy by then.

The operation went splendid and they will be keeping a close eye on him through the night!

Thing is, when he "went in" they found a very serious bruise about 4 inches above the fracture. The vet says it is consistent with an attach from a larger animal, just as a dog, except there are no bites. It screams to me like some scum of the earth has maybe kicked him! :(

Glad it went well. Don't stress yourself out thinking about what might have happened, because you'll never know. Just be thankful that he has pulled through and will be coming back to you.
