My Poor Little Boy Broke His Leg
Alcmene
One of my cats woke me up by howling this morning, his leg was just hanging there useless and he was obviously very distressed and in a lot of pain. Rushed him to the vet and they did an xray turns out he has a very bad break, not a clean one so the vet couldn't set it. Was referred to specialist osteopath clinic near Liverpool. He is there now and they are keeping him under obs all night, he is having difficulty breathing so they think he has blood on his lungs too, and until they can clear that they cannot operate. They think they can fix the break although he is going to have to be pinned for 3 months. Poor little thing, keep your fingers crossed for him.

I wish I knew, the vet said if had to be rather a hefty force. I think the vet is thinking car but there are no outward signs of this such as any outside physical damage and his nails are intact. He is really a homely cat and only goes out to pee. He obviously hurt himself and then came home to find me so I could help him. The drive to the vet this morning was awful he was in a lot of pain. The one hour drive to the specialist was not that bad as he was doped up and with the fairies!
We are looking at rather a large bill!0 -

Hope everything works its self out. Would be interesting to see how it happened though, so it doesnt happen again. Maybe he fell out of a tree?
