Large paypal transfers?

How strange. According to some stuff I find on paypal help any transactions over £1700 will be stopped yet this has gone straight through no problem. On looking on google some people have had transactions stopped for verification others have gone through no problem.
Money has been received anyway, and is now pending transfer to bank account. Fingers crossed!
The £1,700 limit applies to non-verified users (buyer's without a confirmed linked bank account). The £1,700 limit also applies if you want to withdraw / send any money to your bank account or another Paypal account (it's cumulative, so the limit's still reached if you make one trnsfer of £1,701, or 850 transfers, each for £2).Back on MSE after a 5 year hiatus.

Thanks, its so hard to find that information on paypals website. The second transaction was done without ebay and straight into my paypal account. I've also verified my details and they've got a confirmed paypal account so all looks to be okay.
However I'll still be nervous until the money hits my bank account!0 -
...£2,000. Its for software licenses and the person buying is from Canada ...

Remember to send the item by Courier with signature required - otherwise you leave yourself open to a PayPal reversal or credit card chargeback. Do remember that virtual items are NOT covered by PayPal Seller Protection - which is why you must ship the item.
For your safety keep a record of the software license in case of any payment trouble after you ship. That way you can contact the software company and have the licence cancelled as "stolen/lost" much as you can do with cell phones."Money is truthful. If a person speaks of their honour, make sure they pay in cash."0
