Think of the R1 you can buy when you are debt free!! Personally, I'd never be able to get my DH to sell his fireblade, which like yours is sat in the garage and only gets ridden perhaps on a saturday/sunday afternoon for a treat...but then he'd only get about 1k for his....2750 is quite a lump and it will be one less bill dropping on the mat every month.....0

Well done you - very grown up and sensible
. Just think how pleased you'll be when the Egg account has gone for good :j. A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -

I was very naughty though and took her out for a little spin before the guy arrived - couldn't resist
It does feel very good to have done it and once the payment has cleared off my Egg card I know it will feel even better!!0 -
Sold my CBR6 last year for £1400. The last ride was hard but I enjoyed it!! Consoled myself with the fact that it had only done about 800 miles over the previous 2 years
. Still ~ £20K in debt but going down steadily and the bike seems a distant memory now
, Good Luck!!! 0 -
Once you clear the egg card, don't close the account. After you get a nil balance statement through (and if you have behaved on that account), you might be able to get a 0% or low interest for life of balance offer to transfer some higher APR debt to it.
PS - well done. Making sacrifices like this to clear your debt show how committed you are. Definately worth a little treat as suggested. After falling off the gambling wagon (twice): £33,600 (24,000+ 9,600) - Original CC Debt: £7,885.91

Just to prove how much of a good boy I was and paid the money straight off my Egg card...

I also paid an additional £250 off (which completely cleared the card) :j0
