Awww, you are lovely friends to say that. :grouphug:

It's something I'd never really considered before, how single parents cope when they are ill. And the answer seems to be 'any way you possibly can'. Kids bathed and in bed, washing up done, living room vac'd, need to put more washing in but painkillers have worn off...ugghhhh...need to go and find some more and let them kick in before I can do anything else.

I've dozed off 3 times today , first time I woke up and Natasha had found chewing gum in my bag and was merrily chomping on it, second time she had trashed the neatly organised corner her toys are kept in, third time she had taken the skin off 3 bananas and mashed them into the table. Methinks she was a little bored today. :o

Nothing very moneysaving going on today again, although did spend my last £1-odd on painkillers!

More excitingly though, my Mum and Dad have offered to help me decorate the hall and stairs, which is a job I have been dreading, because I hate heights. They are also replacing the existing council-house-chic bathroom door, with one that matches all my other doors. That will be huge progress in making the house feel nicer, and none of it will cost much, as I have lots of paint left from the bedrooms (and I already own the new bathroom door, which has been hidden behind my sofa for a while now! :o).

I will need a new carpet for the stairs though...better get saving!

My hall and stairs need doing too, but it is the whole balancing a ladder on the stairs thing that puts me off doing it.

so if your parents fancy a trip to Norfolk at any time.........

    :rotfl: I'll ask them!

They said 'Oh, it's easy, you put a ladder against the high wall, and a step ladder on the landing, and planks between...'.

I said 'Well, that makes sense, but correct me if I'm wrong, I will still be balancing high above my staircase?'.

    Am I just a wuss?

I'm very well, thanks. Busy with uni and debt-busting but it's all ok.
