Worth getting a cheap O2 contract

I have an old Virgin PAYG phone (unlocked) which I think I'll change to O2 - to take advantage of their cheaper broadband deals. I normally spend just over £5/month on Virgin - was thinking that if there were an O2 contract deal for much under a tenner that included some free calls/texts, I might sign up for the contract (save a bit on home phone bill, too). Or, with my low spend, am I best sticking with PAYG?

A shiny new mobile might be nice, but a sim-only deal would suffice...

  • You'll not get a contract with a phone for under a tenner as a new customer. Unless you want to go down the cashback route, which can be a little more than risky at times! Probably best sticking with Pay and Go! (Or even simplicity)

Thanks - looks like PAYG is the way to go then.
