    Have changed those. I know it's an old computer but I haven't had it this slow on startup before.

    I personally find Firefox very slow on the first boot, immediatley after booting the PC up. Once it's up and running restarting Firefox is fine. I've always had this issue on all the PC's I've had, and with all versions. I've been using FF for about 4years now so it's something i've just got used to.

    I'd wouldn't want to switch to Chrome or Opera either. I just love the modular style of FF.

    Uninstall anything on your computer from 'Free Offers from Freeze.com'

    Open notepad and copy/paste the text in RED below

    File::
    c:\windows\system32\affv300053706p4now.sys

    Save this as "CFScript"

    Then drag the CFScript into ComboFix.exe as you see in the screenshot below.

    CFScript.gif

    This will start ComboFix again. After reboot, (in case it asks to reboot), post the contents of Combofix.txt in your next reply

    Combofix should never take more that 20 minutes including the reboot if malware is detected.
    If it does, open Task Manager then Processes tab (press ctrl, alt and del at the same time) and end any processes of findstr, find, sed or swreg, then combofix should continue.

    Download CCLEANER (Click 'DOWNLOAD LATEST VERSION' ~ UNTICK the yahoo toolbar)
    http://www.filehippo.com/download_ccleaner/
    Run the top 2 scans (Backup the registry when it asks)

    Then run a scan with KASPERSKY ONLINE SCANNER
    Post the log here please

    Try running it in Internet Explorer then

    If that doesnt work then update java (Which you should be doing anyways)
